Late Bloomers

Transformers: Trends & Facts

At age 88 Michelangelo designed the conversion of a portion of the Baths of Diocletian into the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli!

But you don't have to wait that long to create a masterpiece. For the past 10 years, people ages 55 to 64 have been the group starting new businesses.

Stay sharp as you get older! You can keep your brain functioning well into your golden years if you follow these simple steps.

But enough about old folks. Here's are some hot new business trends for 2007.

Have any insights or trends you'd like to share with theONswitch? Please feel free to e-mail them to us or comment at theONblog.

We can't guarantee that you will be transformed from Phil to Dr. Phil overnight. And, you may make lots of lists, but there's only one Craigslist. If you're longing for those "15 Minutes of Personal Fame," ask us for our 10 Steps Towards Guru-dom, which will be available as a podcast in June!

Obscure Fact of the Month

Talk about makeovers gone wild! Cindy Jackson holds the Guinness World Record for the most plastic surgery, spending almost $100,00 on 47 cosmetic operations. And I barely have time to brush my hair!

Blog...blog...blog...

To quote Bob Dylan, "The times they are a-changin'" And in the words of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, "Teach your children well..." I deal with both concepts in my brand new blog, Hippy to Wiki.

theONblog is still alive and well too. (In the words of the Rolling Stones, "Not Fade Away."

Building Buzz:
New Clients and New Work

Susan Rubin changed her life when she left her law practice to open Sage Yoga. We helped Susan tell her story this month in Money Magazine. (She also just changed locations, moving to THE GYM in Armonk.)

Thanks to the two interior designers selected via theONswitch's "Interior Motives" competition, two lofts at METRO92 in Yonkers will be completely transformed. The New York Post and LoHud.com (The Journal-News blog) featured the contest.

Are you STILL using plastic bags? San Francisco just banned them, NY is considering it, and Sharon Rowe is offering ECOBAGS as the ideal way to switch -- appearing in several media outlets and presenting Earth Day Challenge. (Remember, Earth Day is EVERY day!)

And you can change kids lives! Pajama Program was just featured on Oprah and collected more than 35K pairs of pajamas -- not nearly enough though for the 800K homeless kids in the U.S. Please join theONswitch at the 2007 luncheon.

Several clients of theONswitch will be changing someone from head to toe -- literally -- as part of a makeover event co-hosted by the Westchester Wag. Details next month...
