may·day (mâ'dâ') n. An international radiotelephone
signal word used by aircraft and ships in distress.
[From French (venez) m'aider, (come) help me!]
We could all use a little help these days -- whether it's
a financial bail-out, new business ideas, a job, or
simply a sympathetic colleague to share our visions
and stresses.
Remember, in tough times, we must all cling together
to weather the storm. If you simply leap off the boat or
flail around in the water, you won't stand a chance.
Hope the tips below will help inflate your life jacket!

Building Buzz: New Clients/New Work
During tough times, outsourcing marketing can be
more cost-effective than maintaining in-house staff.
Here are just a handful of smart clients who've turned
to theONswitch
for extra brains and hands...
The City of Yonkers is kicking off its Quadricentennial
River Day celebration on
June 6th. We're developing
the campaign to drive (or, more aptly, float) traffic to the
waterfront city throughout 2009. No shipwrecks or
mutinies for us!
Not-for-profits are also turning to theONswitch for
help. See the Yonkers
Partners in Education new
fundraising campaign, and stay tuned for updates
from the Yonkers Public Library Foundation.
And we're not just all about Yonkers. theONswitch is
bi-coastal. We launched Destination Science's
newsletter
and blog, attracting California and Florida
kids to this cool science camp.
Hosting a yard sale was listed as one of the top 25 fast money-makers
during a recession. You don't even need a
yard. This month's Tagsellit
newsletter shows you
how to sell stuff -- even in small spaces.
