i am not a rock star, guru, or futuristWinter Edition

Issue 48
Dear friend/follower/colleague/random social media or real life connection:

Our world seems to be filled with self-proclaimed gurus.  I'm just a simple girl from Queens who grew up to be a marketer and author.  I turn 55 this year, and have learned a lot about business and life (especially over the past two recessionary years and throughout the social media boom).
Fortune TellingAlthough I'm hardly a futurist, I predict 2011 will be a year of simplicity and integration -- when business people finally figure out that basic things (some of which go back many decades)  can lead to prosperity and innovation and customer satisfaction.  Technology and whiz-bang devices will become enablers and connectors, rather than the center of our universe.
This year's newsletters will be dedicated to reflecting on the old and the new...and the "timeless truths" that ultimately make a difference.  Enjoy the walk down memory lane and the leap into the next 55!
